Selecting wedding ring sets instead of separate wedding rings is a popular option for many couples. Wedding rings that completely match are typically referred to as wedding ring sets, while bridal sets are engagement and wedding rings that are sold together. Matching wedding rings in either type of set make a beautiful presentation and a symbol of love.

Wedding rings that have a matching engagement and wedding band may be made of any type of metal from white gold to yellow gold, platinum or even titanium. Combinations of metals such as gold and titanium or white gold and yellow gold make spectacular matching wedding band sets, with or without diamonds or other gems.

To add detail and design to the ring there are also other options besides diamonds or gems. Wedding rings with inset patterns or designs or even symbols are very popular. Smaller or larger stones can be added to the designs to add detail and a touch of dazzle.

Engraving on wedding rings, either on the outside or the inside of the band, is also a popular way for couples to have matching rings. This engraving may have a message of love or commitment or it can have the couple's initials, wedding date or other information that the couple has selected.

While there are many matching wedding rings sold as sets, it is also possible to create your own matching set. Adding similar diamonds or engraving to simple band styles can create a unique and original matching set that is one of a kind.

For couples that want matching bands, wedding rings that match the woman's engagement rings are also important. One option is to select a more elaborate engagement ring with a simple, classic band. This makes matching bands very elegant and sophisticated looking without detracting from the engagement ring.

Often with matching wedding rings the rings themselves are not exactly the same. Typically the men's wedding band will be wider and heavier than the woman's, which will be finer and narrower. Detailing around and in the band will be identical, making the rings a true match.

Choosing wedding rings that are matching but are also in keeping with both of the couple's styles is important. Since wedding rings also have to coordinated with the woman's engagement ring this will be an important consideration as well.

Deciding to get married is a major decision and one the is usually based on the foundations of your relationship. The memories you carry with you are important for your future on this journey that you have begun together. Three stone engagement rings are the perfect way to put your feelings about your life journey into a symbol.

Three stone engagement rings are exactly what they sound like. Set in a row on a band the ring features three stones. Jewelers very often refer to three stone engagement rings as trinity or trilogy rings. Typically, these types of rings do not feature side accent stones. However, if you are looking for a more elaborate ring you may be able to find three stone engagement rings that have a bit more pizazz to them with additional accent stones.

When viewing three stone engagement rings there are a couple of points to consider to make sure you get the best piece that you can. Typically, in three stone engagement rings, the three gemstones are close in size, but if you like, you can actually make the center stone just a bit larger than the others. However, try make the stones relatively close in size in order to keep the integrity of the three stone ring, as too big a difference will lead to the rings becoming a solitaire with side accent stones.

The shape of the stone is really are personal decision. You will find that round diamonds are really popular in three stone engagement rings. This is partially because a round diamond is cut with many facets so that it is one of the more sparkly cuts that you can find. Also very popular in three stone engagement rings are princess or square cut stones. They look really clean and polished when they are set together on a band.

Although popular, these are not the only cuts for you to consider. Three stone engagement rings will also have oval, marquise and emerald stones. As heart shaped stones may not be the best choice for this ring, unless your girlfriend really has her heart set on it, as the stones don't look too good when they are set close together.

The other great thing about three stone engagement rings is that you have quite a bit of versatility as to what type of stone you want to use. Traditionally, wedding bands usually feature diamonds, but three stone rings allow you a little more flexibility in the choice of stone. Does you partner like color? If so, you may chose to have two of the surrounding stones as gemstones such as ruby or emerald.

If your partner would like something totally unique how about a three stone ring that doesn't have a diamond at all? You could select a three stone emerald cut ruby ring or a round cut sapphire ring.

The main thing is to choose a ring that symbolizes your journey together. Where you have been, your commitment to get married, and what life will hold for you after that!
